PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Build the foundation for emergency medical care.
The EMT Program combines online learning, required in-person laboratory sessions and supervised hospital clinical experience.
Students who complete the program requirements are prepared to pursue National Registry certification and Missouri licensure.

COURSE STRUCTURE
Four steps move students from preparation to certification readiness.
The course is organized around assigned online preparation, required laboratory attendance, clinical experience and completion requirements.
PREPARE BEFORE LAB
Complete assigned online coursework
Students complete homework and assigned learning before lab so in-person sessions can focus on applying course concepts.
PRACTICE IN PERSON
Attend required weekly laboratory sessions
Students work in small groups under instructional staff guidance while developing assessment and EMT-level patient-care skills.
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Apply learning in a patient-care setting
Hospital clinical experience helps students connect classroom preparation and laboratory practice to patient-care expectations.
CERTIFICATION READINESS
Complete requirements and prepare for next steps
Students who meet course requirements continue toward National Registry certification and Missouri licensure.

Tuesday Evenings
6 to 9 p.m. in the Northeast Classrooms.
