MO-TF1 Deployment
Notification and Mobilization
Upon the occurrence of a significant disaster event (such as an earthquake) or the possibility of an impending event (such as a hurricane), the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Emergency Coordination Center (NECC) may issue an advisory alert of the event to the Boone County Fire District’s Missouri Task Force 1 via the Public Safety Joint Communications Center. An alert is an “information-only” notification and does not constitute a request for mobilization. When an alert notification is received, Task Force members should determine their availability and ensure that their personal gear bags and field web gear are ready for possible deployment. Unless specifically asked to do so, Task Force members should not contact the Fire District office.
